I’m worried that I might lose power or my computer might shut off when working with a client. Will I lose everything? What happens if the software glitches out?
These questions helped create some failsafes in Best Plan Pro. The Windows Edition of BPP allows for transferring your case to the online version (and, if you haven’t used BPP Online, it’ll automatically install your settings) AND, if BPP closes unexpectedly due to a critical PC error, your case is autosaved and will be recovered automatically the next time you open BPP.
Switch to BPP Online: Where Is It?
Under the Help menu, you can access the Switch to BPP Online feature.
What You Get.
When you decide to use the Switch to BPP Online feature, all of the current information is exported to BPP Online in your browser.
Upon opening BPP Online, if you haven’t already, you must activate your online account to use BPP Online. If you haven’t already activated, the system will try to install your settings automatically. If it cannot do that, we recommend using the Import/Export Settings feature (export from Windows Edition, import to BPP Online. If you have already activated the online version, your settings will not be changed.
Also note that upon successful transfer to online, there’s a prompt on the bottom left corner of the window that reads “Last Loaded Case: Loaded via short url.” Additionally, you could use this feature to quickly open the online version of BPP in case you’re experiencing issues with Windows Edition.
Autosave Feature.
BestPlanPro has a secret autosaving feature in case of emergency scenarios (i.e. PC crash or power outage). There is always a chance that an unexpected error might happen which can lead to loss of progress. If BPP is not closed in a normal way, whatever fields are filled in will remain filled in the next time BPP is opened.
Work With No Worries.
We’ve implemented these features to help minimize agents’ stress with the underwriting process. We believe that underwriting should be quick and efficient. However, there are times when outside forces can cause breakdowns in the process. So, we try to look ahead and foresee any possible roadblocks. So if there’s some issue with the Windows Version of BPP, then you can easily switch to our Online Version. Additionally, if there’s a sudden power outage and you weren’t able to save your current analysis, the autosave feature will kick in to prevent loss of data.
