Medications / Condition Questions
How Do I delete a Medication or Condition from the List ExpandTo edit a medication/condition, click on it in the list of medications/conditions. It’ll open a window with all of the saved details.
To delete a medication/condition, click on the medication/condition you want to delete. This opens the edit window. Erase the name of the medication/condition and click Save or Press Enter.
What’s the deal with the * Condition Names? ExpandThe software guesses dates of conditions based on medications. If there are multiple medications for the same condition, it does some fancy calculations to approximate the Diagnosis Date and Last Treatment dates. You, as the agent, need to confirm that the software is right and ask the Proposed Insured.
Click on the Condition that has an *, review the data, make modifications to dates if necessary, and click Save when done. It will remove the * from the condition name. When all *’s are gone, you can analyze data.
Why do some of the Conditions listed have an asterisk and some dont? ExpandThe asterisk represents a condition that was added automatically when you entered a corresponding medication. To remove the asterisk, you must click on the condition and confirm the diagnosis date and last treatment date are correct and correspond with the medication that is taken.

How Accurate Is Best Plan Pro? ExpandBest Plan Pro’s accuracy is hard to measure. For our first few years, we run hundred of thousands of tests and found above 95% accuracy based on the fact finding of the agent. We’ve stopped measuring it that way, however the accuracy has only gotten better over time with more connections, known conditions / medications, and patent-pending evolution technology.
Best Plan Pro’s accuracy is so high that it is used internally by some carriers to help make their decisions about new products to release and underwriting decisions. BPP has been involved with the creation of several of the industry’s latest and favorite products.

The Software says I need a license key. What does that mean? ExpandIs the software registered? Check under Settings > Software Registration to add your Order ID (which you should have received by email). If you have any issues, feel free to reach out to support.
Why isn’t Carrier _________ Supported? ExpandSome plans are harder to implement than others, so it comes down to prioritization. If you want a plan added, go to the suggestions area and suggest the carrier. We’ll get to your plan eventually, but if you want it sooner, it’s important to push the idea in the suggestions area.
How does a carrier get added? ExpandEach carrier allows the agent to sell a product. We get the requirements for that product including height weight charts, age requirements, etc, and add them to the software.
Once we have the plan basics, we begin adding all of the medications and their metadata (how the medications are expected to be used, the timeline requirements, what plan they yield).
We then go through the application and analyze all of the questions, criteria, and metadata associated with each question and consolidate it into the software.
Adding a plan involves a lot of data entry and testing to ensure consistency and accuracy. To give you an example, Settlers took 11 hours of Medication Data Entry alone (it was about 40 pages of knockout medications) and 2 hours of Conditions.
Once a plan is added, it goes extensive test cases to ensure accuracy. Once the plan has been tested, it gets pushed out via an update.
I just got appointed with a new carrier, how do I add their product to the software? ExpandIf the carrier is already added to BestPlanPro, then go to Settings > Set Available Products. If the carrier isn’t in BestPlanPro, suggest we add it.
The results seem out of order. What’s going on? ExpandBest Plan Pro orders results into groups. Our objective is to find day one coverage that fits your client sorted by price.
Results are sorted into 3 groups:
- Day 1 Coverage (Level) – all sorted by price
- A fixed percentage of the face amount, increasing each year (Graded) – all sorted by price
- Return of Premium – all sorted by price
In some cases, a return of premium product may be cheaper than a graded product. The graded products will still be above the R.O.P. products regardless of price.
Keep in mind that some carriers have strange names for their products. Click on the plan result to find out what type of plan it is – there are several plans called “graded” that are really return of premium products and are a bit misleading.

What is the on-boarding process? ExpandAfter signup, you’ll have a video sequence (~10 minutes) and then 3 questions with explanations of more complex scenarios.
How is Best Plan Pro so accurate? ExpandThrough patent-pending technology, we’ve created an extremely systematic, reliable, and efficient way to process the underwriting data agent know. We have Artificial Intelligence (quasi-AI) and work with carriers to process undisclosed and less known facets of the specific products.
What is a BPP Key Code and BPP Email? ExpandInstead of a traditional username and password system, we have a BPP Key Code and BPP Email. If you purchase a BPP License for another agent, you’ll appreciate that you don’t have to give them your password or make a long password for them.
Your BPP Email and BPP Key Code are tied together, so if you ever change IMO’s or you stop paying for another agent, all you have to do is change your BPP Email and you’ll have a brand new Key Code – thereby keeping your account secure.

What is the difference between BPP Online and Windows Edition? ExpandWindows Edition only works on Windows and, if you’re running Windows, we’d recommend that version. It allows you to have Offline access to Best Plan Pro’s engine. If your computer is slow, you can enable Slow Computer Mode which tri
